Salumeria Rosi
On New York City’s Upper West Side, Salumeria Rosi is an authentic Italian salumi shop and restaurant. Designed by Academy Award-winning production designer Dante Ferretti and stocked with the most authentic items available, the shop mimics its Italian predecessors with shelves of jarred sauces, baskets of freshly baked bread and a wall of ham hocks behind the deli case. Customers can browse a selection of traditional Italian meats, such as sopressata and salami, fine cheeses and wines, and the store has collaborated with Italian chef Cesare Casella to develop a menu of Italian fare, including caponata and osso buco. The restaurant's 25 seats are constantly filled, so take advantage of reservations.
