Ristretto Roasters founder Din Johnson first contributed to the city's booming specialty coffee scene in 2005 by opening this Beaumont coffeehouse with wife Nancy Rommelmann. They expanded to Williams in 2008 and Nicolai in late 2011 and have a roastery in the Rose Quarter, where Johnson and Josh Gibby utilize a UG-22 Probat roaster. The glass-fronted Beaumont location houses a La Marzocco Linea espresso machine and a bar to brew pourover coffee via Clever. Single-origin coffees change seasonally but might include Santa Rita from El Salvador or El Cautivo from Peru.
