A mainstay on Highway 101 since its opening in 1980, Lou’s Records carries more than 150,000 CD’s and 50,000 LP’s. Housed in a single-story, gray-clapboard building, the shop contains row after row of shelves lined with both new and used music, including a number of rare—and often valuable—items. The inventory covers nearly every music genre, from blues to hip-hop, but rock and roll remains the top seller. The store also sponsors a variety of giveaways, awarding lucky customers with concert tickets and other prizes.
