Half Moon Shopping Village

Part of the sprawling Half Moon Bay resort, the lushly landscaped Village is worth seeing for the setting alone, with canary-yellow shops lining a plaza filled with towering palms and a row of Mediterranean-style fountains. There are a few handicraft shops and the usual duty-free emporiums, but the real draw is the handful of upscale boutiques. Stock up on La Perla's French unmentionables and Moschino dresses at Mezza Luna; duty-free jewels at Taj Mahal; a new bikini; a handmade basket; or a Cuban cigar (just don't bring it back to the U.S., of course).
