Just half a mile north of the Nubble Lighthouse, Brown’s Ice Cream is a popular spot to cool off after a day of sightseeing. The small takeaway stand is known for its rich, homemade flavors, which range from traditional strawberry and blueberry to more unusual options like ginger, checkerberry (wintergreen), and Indian pudding. The shop has a total of more than 50 rotating flavors, including a small selection of frozen yogurt and low-fat ice cream. A handful of picnic tables provide views of the Isles of Shoals, but they fill up quickly during peak hours.
