With 13 locations in the Austin area, this little ice cream dominates the local market. The day’s 15 flavors are displayed on a chalk board above the counter. Seven standard flavors of ice cream are always available, while the remaining eight are selected from the more than 300 seasonal and other special flavors on the books, including Girl Scout Thin Mint, pumpkin cheesecake, and pistachio. Toppings are mixed in on a slab kept at room temperature, which is said to bring out the flavor as it slightly melts the ice cream.
