Abbadia di Chiaravalle Fiastra

The Abbey at Fiastra is one of the most serene, with a shaded portico and an ample courtyard that has a well at the center. The windows of the monks' cells line the story above the arches. Fiastra is surrounded by a large park and a nature preserve of some 4,000 acres; in their private yard by the abbey the monks can be glimpsed tending to the plants and trees.
