The Cimitero Acattolico (Non-Catholic Cemetery), also known as the Protestant Cemetery, is home to one of the largest collections of notable graves in the world. Located in the Testaccio district, the cemetery is situated near the Pyramid of Caius Cestius, a 118-foot-tall tombstone built in 12 B.C., and a section of the ancient Aurelian Wall. Cypress trees and vibrant flowers surround the graves of famous poets such as Keats and Shelly, as well as artists, architects, and government leaders. Of particular note is the weeping Angel of Grief, designed by sculptor William Wetmore Story as a monument to his wife.
Congratulations to Mei Lin, winner of Top Chef Season 12.
