Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts
Second only to the Lincoln Center in its super-sized proportions is Miami's world-class performing arts complex with a half-billion-dollar price tag. Straddling Biscayne Boulevard just north of downtown, the Cesar Pelli-designed super complex encompasses four venues: the Ziff Ballet Opera House, Knight Concert Hall, Peacock Rehearsal Studio, and Studio Theater. An Art Deco tower festively incorporated into the center's irregularly lined design is the sole remnant of the 1929 Sears store once occupying the site. Miami's City Ballet and New World Symphony and the Florida Grand Opera are all in residence.
