This hands-on museum, beautifully situated on the bluffs of the Mississippi River, is as much a playground for adults as it is for children. From the staircase that plays music as you run up or down it, to the IMAX Omnitheater, to the 74,500 square feet of exhibition space filled with displays and experiments about the human body, paleontology, and the mighty river just outside, being entertained while you learn is the order of the day. Out back, wander the museum's 10 acres of outdoor exhibits, where you can mini-golf or uncover the secrets of the local ecosystem.
