Upper Eastside Garden

This quirky garden that's about the size of a suburban yard is tucked behind the vintage store Divine Trash, and serves as a groovy oasis that recalls the early bohemian days of South Beach. The complex includes assorted lounge areas; the Curb Appeal Garden Center, where you can shop for plants; and an artist-designed miniature golf course complete with video installations and whimsical sculptural structures. It's positively brilliant if you want to have a cocktail and get an art fix along with your 18 holes. On occasion, the garden features guest appearances by DJ's, and every Thursday it's Janus Films Night, with outdoor screenings of classic movies—from Ingmar Bergman's Fanny and Alexander to Michelangelo Antonioni's L'Avventura—that bring out an eclectic mix of hipsters lolling on mats and having a grand old time.
