Watch the Sunset from the Iron Pont des Arts

Quai du Louvre , Pl. de l'Institut
Paris , France

Built between 1802 and 1804, the pedestrian-only Pont des Arts bridge is a sought after destination among romantics and artists, who turn out in droves throughout the year to marvel at sunsets over the Seine. Brilliant hues of pink, orange, yellow, and purple cast a firey glow over the city as picnics commence — some with tables and real dishes, wine, and candlelight. The famous wooden slat bridge connects the Louvre's courtyard with the Institut de France and is not hard to identify: visitors just look for scores of pad locks latched to the iron railings.
