Created by PDX Jazz, the US Bank Portland Jazz Festival showcases local and Pacific Northwest jazz talent as well as widely known musicians and singers like Branford Marsalis, Afro-Cuban All-Stars, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Bill Frisell, and Charlie Hunter. Each February the festival takes place via concerts at various downtown venues. In addition to jazz, the festival honors Black History Month and the City of Portland. Visitors seeking out the Portland Jazz Festival activities will find free and paid music performances, jam sessions, films, lectures, and exhibits scheduled throughout the city.
