This international design show held annually in December has been a critical and popular hit since its 2005 inception. Inspiring a sister show in Basil, Switzerland, in just its second year of existence, Design Miami runs parallel with the popular Art Basel: Miami Beach festival and bills itself as a global forum for design. Design Miami's creative temporary structures play host to on-site design shows, design galleries, talks, and performances. Two prestigious awards presented annually at the festival include the Designer of the Year Award and the Designer of the Future.
