Ronnie Scott's
A mere 47 years after Ronnie Scott and fellow saxophonist Pete King launched this legendary jazz venue, current owner Sally Greene (who runs the Old Vic theater with Kevin Spacey) recently refurbished the club, taking the look back to the old days, with reds and blacks, wood and brass, low lighting and photographs of the many legends who have played over the years. This venue has a solid reputation for showcasing the best British and American jazz musicians, including Kenny Garrett and Sarah Jane Morris. Ticket prices depend on who's gracing the stage, but expect to pay at least $40 for live music until 3 a.m. (midnight on Sundays) or $5 for Wednesday's late-night jam sessions. A la carte dinners cost extra.
Insider Tip: Thursday and Saturday are the busiest nights.
