Pigalle Club
Supper clubs and cabarets are London's latest craze, and Shaun Clarkson lent his design expertise to this one. The name doesn't refer to the saucy Parisian suburb but to a late 1940's Piccadilly hot spot, which the interiors reflect. Vintage jade pieces and gold wallpaper line the stairs down to the fuchsia bar, while leather and brocade adorn the club and dining room. You might catch a one-off live set from the likes of Marianne Faithful and Shirley Bassey; lounge music from the house band; or a titillating late-night burlesque show (performer Immodesty Blaize opened the club in a puff of pink feathers and sequins). It's all very glam, so don your highest heels, tightest corset, and most scarlet lipstick. A three-course dinner plus the show starts at $85 per person.
Insider Tip: Guests can drink at the bar's high stools and watch the action for $20, or $30 after 10 p.m.
