Experimental Cocktail Club
In 2007, Romee De Goriainoff left a career in finance to open this lounge, often credited with reviving the city’s cocktail scene with its ingenious drinks in a gorgeous neo-Baroque setting. Its take on the old-fashioned, for instance, uses grapefruit zest in place of traditional orange bitters. The original Right Bank bar has since spawned a mini empire, including three more spots in Paris, and exports in London and New York.
