Oscar Niemeyer's architectural masterpiece was completed late in his life—1996—but has the same fantastic improbability and masterful precision of his work of the 60's and 70's. Exhibitions tend to showcase emerging Brazilian artists, and the museum's permanent collection isn't world-class, but there's nothing quite like this enormous, saucer-shaped building.
